18 Mar 2012 - In line with the recently recognized International Women’s Day, the UN Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW) discussed an important aspect of women’s inequality around the world.
UNDP is organizing a Regional Forum on Equal Participation in Decision-Making (November 15-17, Istanbul), with co-funding from the UNDP-Japan Women in Development Fund.
On June 12th Turkey will be holding parliamentary elections.
At stake in this election:
550 seats in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (Turkiye Buyuk Millet Meclisi)
The so-called Davos Summit for women, the Global Summit of Women will take place in Istanbul with the participation of Emine Erdoğan, wife of the Turkish prime minister.
