Capacity Building

This report is a synthesis of the workshop ‘Towards Liberating Democracy: Devolution of Power Matters’(Bangkok, Thailand, 2007). The workshop drew on experiences from Aceh, Mindanao, West Papua and southern Thailand to address the nexus between democracy, conflict and human security.

This Guide is designed to offer insights into the critical elements that shape systems of good local governance in the South Caucasus region. It also serves as a tool for local decision-makers and practitioners. The Guide includes case studies on Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia.

This manual is used for training diverse groups of women and girls in the practice of inclusive, participatory, and horizontal leadership. The goal of the manual is to empower women to take on leadership roles in their families, communities, and societies.
