The Women in Parliaments (WIP) and the Mexican Senate co-hosted the Mexico Summit on 7-9 October 2015. Marking the 40th anniversary of the First World Conference on Women, a conference in 1975 that defined a World Plan of Action for the Implementation of the Objectives of the International Women’s Year, the 2015 Mexico Summit was a great opportunity to celebrate the ambitious gender equality reforms Mexico performed in 2014 as well as address global issues such as the Post-2015 development Agenda and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
