Botswana: Siele Urges More Women to Join Politics

The limited number of women in political structures is a cause for concern, says the Minister of Labour and Home Affairs, Mr Peter Siele. Officially opening an assertiveness training and gender sensitisation workshop for aspiring women politicians in Gaborone recently, Mr Siele said while there were no legal restrictions on women to stand for any elected public office, many women did not benefit from such opportunities.
