The 135th Inter-parliamentary Union Assembly

The 135th Inter-parliamentary Union Assembly will take place in Geneva, Switzerland, from the 23th to the 27th of October 2016. Among the numerous agenda items the assembly is to focus on during its time in Geneva, the attending parliamentarians will debate the theme of “Human rights abuses as precursors of conflict: Parliaments as early responders”. The assembly will be debating many other current global issues such as “the freedom of women to participate in political processes fully, safely and without interference: Building partnerships between men and women to achieve this objective”.
