Electoral Politics: Making Quotas Work for Women

This book focuses on the long struggle against women's political exclusion. The authors examine a wide range of issues related to the political exclusion of many women inclusing ideologies, cultural barriers, electoral systems, etc.

Gender quotas are assessed through their performance in different countries such as Indonesia, Sweden or Argentina among many others. Finally, other issues are addressed such as women's activism and the post- crisis State, the implementation of reserved seats, etc.
