AU Observer team’s parting shot on elections, Swaziland

SWAZILAND needs to reserve a quota for women and physically challenged persons in the electoral process. This would guarantee full representation of women and marginalised groups in elective positions.The African Union made this recommendation to the country, following the national elections in September. The AU deployed a team the African Union Election Observer Mission (AUEOM) to observe the national parliamentary elections in September and made a few recommendations.
