The non-governmental organization, More Women in Politics, has signed a partnership agreement with the government of Cameroon to empower hundreds of youth and women in elections. Knowing that women and youth form majority of the population, the move will play a key role in the 2018 elections, according to the NGO’s coordinator.
The new project will cover 20 councils in 7 regions in Cameroon. Justine Diffo says the trainings will reinforce capacities, leadership and civic education as well as nonviolent communication. More women in Politics has been active in calling for more women to be included in the political decision making process of Cameroon. Click here for more information.
