Lorena Cruz Sanchez, president of the Mexican National Women's Institute (INMUJERES), said that the state of Sinaloa is a pioneer and a national reference and model to achieve gender parity in politics. Having recently inaugurated the Observatory of the Political Participation of Women, it is estimated that the Commission will continue the efforts made at the federal level. The Centre will provide with a high degree of accuracy the details of the political participation of women in elected offices at the state and municipal levels, with the aim of promoting the full and effective participation of women in the political sphere.
